Psalm 145 implores us to pass the faith on to the next generation. In our children’s ministry, we seek to do this through a curriculum called The Gospel Project, which takes our children through the entire Bible every three years. Every week, we connect the Bible story to Jesus.
Our children’s ministry, birth through 5th grade, takes place during each of our worship gatherings. Our kindergarteners through 5th graders start out as a large group in the Southport Kids Room and then break up into grade related small groups. Younger children go straight to their classrooms. Come to the top of the stairs in the gathering area and follow the signs. On the 5th Sunday of every month, we give our teachers a break and only offer care for children birth through pre-K.
The safety of your children is one of our highest priorities. All of our teachers and workers are trained, screened and pass a background check. Please arrive a few minutes early so that you can properly check-in your children.
We value children participating in our whole church worship gathering as well. While your kids are in children’s ministry, we encourage you to attend an adult class, build relationships with other adults in the gathering area, or find a place to serve—and then attend a worship gathering together as a family.
